2026 schedule: Griffins kick off season at home vs. defending champion MRU

EDMONTON – As soccer fever sweeps across the country, Canada West student-athletes and fans can officially begin counting down to the 2026 conference season after the schedule was unveiled on Monday.
MacEwan men's soccer gets a sterling test right off the bat as they kick off the season at home versus the defending Canada West champion Mount Royal University Cougars (Sept. 5, 2:30 p.m., Clarke Stadium).
The Griffins will also play Calgary on their opening weekend (Sept. 6, 2:30 p.m., Clarke Stadium).
"We're looking forward to kicking off together and getting back to work," said head coach Adam Loga. "We'll be ready to compete and give ourselves every opportunity to do something special this season."

Fans can catch all of the matches on Canada West TV Powered by BioSteel. Early bird pricing for the CWTV All-Access and Sport passes go on sale in early August.
The Griffins also host UNBC on Sept. 25, UFV on Sept. 27, cross-town rival Alberta on Oct. 18, Lethbridge on Oct. 24 and Saskatchewan on the final day of the regular season, Oct. 25. Home games will be played at either Clarke or Clareview this season.
Playoffs feature quarterfinal action Oct. 30 and semifinal play on Nov. 1. The gold medal game will be played Nov. 6-7 weekend.
The U SPORTS national championship will take place in Victoria this season Nov. 12-15.
