Three Stars: Chabot, Johnson, Presingular earn honours
MacEwan Athletics
EDMONTON – Men's hockey student-athlete Kadyn Chabot is the MacEwan Athletics' first star of the week after recording three points in a weekend road series at Regina.
The third-year forward scored the game-winner in Saturday's 6-1 victory over the Cougars – the first of two goals the Griffins tallied in a span of seven seconds for the third-fastest mark in Canada West history.
Women's hockey goaltender Lindsey Johnson and men's basketball point guard Diego Presingular are the second and third stars of the week, respectively.
It's the first appearance of 2025-26 on the Three Stars list for both Chabot and Presingular, while Johnson is making the list for the third time after third-star honours Oct. 14 and a second star nod Oct. 28.

MacEwan's leading scorer drove the bus in the Griffins' huge 6-1 win over Regina on Saturday, scoring twice and adding an assist.
Chabot scored the game-winning goal late in the first period by finishing off an odd-man rush pass from Sam Simard with a gorgeous one-timer.
It was the first of two goals by the Griffins in seven seconds as Brody Tallman scored right after the faceoff – the fastest pair of goals by a single team in more than 11 years in Canada West and the third-fastest all-time.
