Three Stars: Jack, Igbinyemi, Hickey earn honours
MacEwan Athletics
EDMONTON – Women's hockey student-athlete Sydney Jack is the MacEwan Athletics' first star of the week after spearheading MacEwan's late-game offensive outburst that led to a 3-2 win over the Saskatchewan Huskies last Saturday.
Jack had a goal and an assist in the span of one minute, 16 seconds late in the third period as the Griffins rallied back to beat the Huskies.
Men's basketball student-athlete Favour Igbinyemi and women's basketball student-athlete Samantha Hickey are the second and third stars of the week, respectively.
It's the first appearance in the Three Stars this season for all three student-athletes.

Time was running out on the Griffins in the third period on Saturday when Jack took matters into her own hands.
The Griffins had mustered just 14 shots on goal in five periods of play during a weekend series at Saskatchewan without a goal to show for it when Jack opened the floodgates with just 5:47 left in the third. Her centring pass found Allee Isley's stick and went past the goaltender to tie the game 1-1.
Then, just 1:16 later, Jack scored the go-ahead goal, potting a rebound off Kali MacDonald's point shot. She played a driving role in the Griffins scoring three times in less than two minutes to stun the Huskies 3-2.
